Umm Al Houl Power Plant

We were commissioned to produce a comprehensive photography library for Umm Al Houl Power (UHP)—the largest power generation and seawater desalination facility in both Qatar and the Middle East.

Our goal was to document the scale, complexity, and human element of the plant through a combination of lifestyle and architectural photography.

Inside the Operation – Lifestyle Photography

To showcase the human side of Umm Al Houl, we captured a wide range of lifestyle imagery across different departments and roles within the facility. From lab technicians and control room operators to safety teams and fire station crews, our images highlight the professionalism and coordination that keep this massive operation running.

These shots were carefully composed to feel authentic and grounded—providing visual content for internal communications, corporate reports, and recruitment initiatives, while emphasizing the importance of people behind the technology.

Power and Precision – Architectural Photography

The second part of the project focused on architectural imagery, capturing the sheer scale and structure of the plant’s industrial environment. We photographed from ground level and elevated vantage points, showcasing expansive infrastructure, piping systems, and machinery at work.

The shoot was timed strategically to include sunset and night shots, allowing us to capture the facility bathed in golden light as well as fully illuminated after dark. These images create a dramatic visual narrative of a plant that never stops—illustrating the engineering power behind one of the region’s most essential utilities.
