At Dow Studios, we love when creativity meets purpose. One of our most unique and rewarding projects came through a collaboration with Dukhan Bank for their internal event campaign titled “Stronger Together.” The goal? To photograph over 340 team members, culminating in a massive group photo that would be transformed into a 2.5-meter-wide puzzle used in a live team-building challenge.
More than just a creative concept, this project turned into a logistical and technical success story that pushed the boundaries of what we usually do with group photography.
Group Photos with a Twist
The project consisted of two main components:
- Individual Team Photos: We set up a photo studio inside Dukhan Bank’s premises to capture cohesive team photos for all departments.
- Massive Group Photo: With space constraints making a single group photo impossible, we built a second on-site studio to photograph each of the 340+ employees individually.
The result? Every person was photographed separately, then placed into a digital composite to create the final master group photo.
Real-Time Workflow, Real-Time Results
Thanks to a direct 5G connection, our team could process the images immediately after each capture. Each person was cut from the background and added to a growing layout document. This approach not only ensured efficient image management but also allowed the marketing team to preview the layout in real time.
The final master file, built at 300 DPI for high-quality print, grew to over 40GB in size. Every figure was carefully lit and placed to reflect an authentic, cohesive group image—despite being photographed individually.
From Studio to Puzzle
The completed group photo was printed, cut, and delivered as a giant puzzle. During the internal event, three teams competed to complete the puzzle in record time. It took them 20–25 minutes to assemble the photo, piece by piece—a powerful metaphor for teamwork and unity.
